Servius Cornelius Scipio Salvidienus Orfitus (Consul 149)

Servius Cornelius Scipio Salvidienus Orfitus came from a patrician family and was a Roman politician and senator .

He was a son of Servius Cornelius Scipio Salvidienus Orfitus , who held the consulate in 110 . Scipio became ordinary consul in 149 at the side of Quintus Pompeius Sosius Priscus . 163/164 he was proconsul of the province of Africa . Apuleius gave a speech in his honor and wrote a (not preserved) panegyric poem about him.

His son Servius Cornelius Scipio Salvidienus Orfitus became consul in 178.
