Setting (psychology)
Setting (English; "the setting, the arrangement") describes the milieu, the environment, the situation, the conditions or the arrangement.
In psychology , the term is used for the specific design of the contextual conditions of the therapy (bundle of working conditions that are necessary for answering questions or the therapy): individual or group therapy , the design of the therapy room, the role of the therapist, techniques , Interventions and methods etc. The same applies to the setting in supervision , but with different techniques and different roles for those involved. In art therapy , the setting also concerns the use of different media such as color , clay , wood, stone.
In the socio-psychological and therapeutic literature, particular emphasis is placed on the importance of socio-ecological factors.
