Settlement right

As reduction law is called a historical, wherein the shipping company occurring right after which the minority of Mitreeder can escape the execution of majority decisions for differences in the line of the shipping business.

This happens because the minority estimates the common ship at a certain price. The majority of the shipowners then either have to take over the ship at this price and pay out the shares to the minority at this price, or they have to leave the ship to the minority at this price and pay them the corresponding shares.

Since the introduction of the German Commercial Code , this law was only allowed to apply in Mecklenburg , but outside this state it could also be established by contract for a shipping company.
