Sextus Hermentidius Campanus

Sextus Hermentidius Campanus was a Roman politician living in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD . In an inscription his name is given as Sextus Hermetidius Campanus .

Campanus was 93 governor of the province of Iudaea ; an inscription shows that he released veterans from the Legio X Fretensis on December 28th of that year . By military diplomas is evidence that on Aug. 14, 97 together with Lucius Domitius Apollinaris Suffektkonsul was; the two held this office from July to August. An inscription shows that he lived at least until 108.
