Shō (unit of measurement)

Shō ( Japanese 升 ) is a unit of volume in the old Japanese system of measurement Shakkanhō , which is still used today for rice and sake .

1 Shō = ²⁴⁰¹ ⁄ ₁₃₃₁ liters ≈ 1.8039 liters

1 Koku = 10 To = 100 Shō = 1000 Gō

Sake is traditionally bottled in 1-Shō bottles.
