Shonan Jun'ai Gumi!
Shonan Jun'ai Gumi! ( Japanese. 湘南 純愛 組! , dt. "The true love gang of Shōnan ") is a completed manga series of the Japanese mangaka Tohru Fujisawa . It ran from 1991 to 1996 and was published in a total of 31 volumes. Shonan Jun'ai Gumi! is the prelude to the Manga Great Teacher Onizuka , which was also published in Germany . Similar to Great Teacher Onizuka, the manga can be assigned to the genres comedy and drama. An anime and a series of real- life films were later produced based on the manga .

The plot of the manga revolves around the duo Eikichi Onizuka ( 鬼塚 英 吉 ) and Ryūji Damma ( 弾 間 龍 二 ) on their way to lose their virginity and grow up. Both are feared Bōsōzoku , who are known for their toughness and toughness in combat. However, this lifestyle is not exactly appealing to women, so they both decide to change their lives, which is easier said than done. Anime
Based on the manga, a five-part OVA was released on VHS from 1994 to 1997 , which was produced by the studio JCStaff . The OVA has not yet been published outside of Japan.

Real film
From 1995 to 1997, a real film series based on the manga was also shot as a V-Cinema . The series consisted of 5 episodes with a duration of 93 minutes each. The actors Naoki Miyashita (Eikichi Onizuka) and Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi (Ryūji Damma) each played the leading roles. The series has not yet been released outside of Japan.
