Chabtine (also Chabtin , Shebteen or Shabtin , Arabic شبطين, DMG Šabṭīn ) is a village in North Lebanon Governorate in Lebanon . It is located a few kilometers southeast of the coastal town of Batrun and belongs to the district of the same name . The village has around 1400 inhabitants who make their living mainly from agriculture. The population is predominantly Maronite . The village has a primary and a secondary school and, since 1984, a post office.
