The Sheikdom Shaib ( Arabic شعيب Shuʿayb ) was a state within the Southern Arab Federation after briefly belonging to the Federation of the United Arab Emirates of the South . The area is now part of the Republic of Yemen . His last sheikh was Yahya Mohamed Al-Kholaqi Al-Saqladi, who was ousted in 1967 and died in Jeddah in 2001 . The sheikdom was incorporated into the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen in 1967 .

Geographically, the small inland sheichtum was located between the Yemeni provinces of Upper Yafa, Maflahi and Saudi Arabia .
