Federation of the United Arab Emirates of the South
The Federation of the United Arab Emirates of the South ( Arabic اتحاد إمارات الجنوب العربي, DMG Ittiḥād Imārāt al-ǧanūb al-ʿarabī ) was a state organization within the Protectorate of Aden . The Federation of Six States was founded on February 11, 1959 in the colony of Aden. Nine states were later added and the federation was renamed the South Arab Federation on April 4, 1962 .
