Schachbut bin Dhiyab bin Isa Al Nahyan ( Arabic شخبوط بن ذياب بن عيسى آل نهيان Šaḫbūṭ b. Ḏiyāb b. ʿIsā Āl Nahyān ) was Sheikh of Abu Dhabi from 1793 to 1816. In 1791 he foundedAbu Dhabi near a freshwater spring on behalf of his father, Sheikh Dhiyab bin Isa .

The Fort al-Hisn he built is still the center of the old town of Abu Dhabi today. Schachbut bin Dhiyab was a member of the Al Nahyan family from the Bani Yas Bedouin tribe , who are still the rulers of Abu Dhabi today.
