Shamsuddin "Shams" Amiri (born February 12, 1985 in Kabul ) is a former Afghan football goalkeeper .

Career

society

Amiri began his football career in Pakistan in 2002 for Pakistan Television FC Islāmabād, he fled with some of the local players due to the occupation of Osama bin Laden . In 2003 he returned to his homeland and played for FC Maiwand in Kabul for a year before moving to Kabul Bank FC in spring 2004. He was voted the best Afghan footballer in 2007.

National team

He has completed at least twelve matches for the Afghan national football team since 2005 . In summer 2008 he played for Afghanistan in the AFC Challenge Cup 2008 in India .
