Shanghai Aircraft
The Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Factory (SAMF) , also Shanghai Aviation Industrial Company (SAIC) or Shanghai Aircraft Company , is a Chinese aerospace company based in Shanghai . The company is part of the China Aviation Industry Corporation I (AVIC I).
Shanghai Aircraft was founded in 1950 and initially limited itself to aircraft repairs. Later came the development and construction of civil aircraft.
Today's activities include final assembly, the manufacture of aircraft parts and components, repair and maintenance. The company also produces hovercraft and glass facades, among other things.
