Shanghai Daily

The Shanghai Daily ( Chinese : 上海 日报; Pinyin : Shànghǎi Rìbào) is an English-language daily newspaper in Shanghai . It describes itself as the "English window to China".

The newspaper was founded in 1999 by the United Press Group Wenhui Xinmin- ( Wenhui Xinmin United Press Group- founded), which also publishes today. It appears six days a week with 48 pages in a 6-column layout, and since 2005 also online. According to the publisher, the newspaper is aimed at China tourists and foreign business people.
