Shanwan ( Chinese  山 湾村  /  山 湾村 , Pinyin Shānwān Cūn ) is a village in the west of the large community of Zhujiajiao in the Qingpu district of the Chinese city ​​of Shanghai . Shanwan has a total of 38.8 hectares of fields. About 10 hectares of this is used as rice fields, most of the remaining area as a tree nursery. In addition, the villagers manage fish ponds with a total area of ​​6.7 hectares. The village has around 1200 inhabitants (September 2018). The village government has its own production halls, which are rented to 6 private companies that manufacture parts for electronic measuring instruments, door and window frames, suitcases and plastic parts.

Shanwan is an administrative community that consists of the two ancient villages of Xiaowei (小 圩) and Waihe (外 河). The Oriental Land Youth Park (东方绿舟, Pinyin Dōngfāng Lǜzhōu ) is located in the area of ​​the village of Xiaowei. 240 families with a total of 828 people had to be relocated for its construction in 2000. This park, opened in 2002, extends over a total area of ​​373 hectares, much of it water, and is divided into 8 main areas such as fire and security, military, ecology, etc. It is mainly used by schools in Shanghai for extracurricular activities, but foreign youth groups are also received.

Shanwan is about 3 km west of the center of Zhujiajiao and is the final stop of line 17 of the Shanghai Metro ; the name of the stop is "Oriental Land". The village can also be reached by car from Zhujiajiao or downtown Shanghai via State Road 318, also known as Huqingping Road.
