Share latex is an online - LaTeX editor, which allows real-time collaboration and direct compiling the LaTeX source code to PDF via the web interface. ShareLaTeX is a server-based application that is controlled via a web browser . The software is published under the free AGPL v3 license and enables the user to install a ShareLaTeX instance himself (locally or on the intranet).
The software can track changes, record comments from several users and can be integrated directly with Dropbox and Github .
In the meantime, ShareLaTeX has been taken over by Overleaf. ShareLaTeX and Overleaf have merged their services in Overleaf v2. The functionality of ShareLaTeX has been retained and has been expanded with some functions and design elements from Overleaf.
