Sheikh Nasir Ahmad

Sheikh Nasir Ahmad (* before 1946; † 2000 ) was an imam of the Islamic denomination Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat . He worked as a missionary in Switzerland from 1946 to 1962 and from 1997 until his death in 2000. Before a missionary was sent to Germany after the Second World War , Germany was looked after by Sheikh Nasir Ahmad. He published the Ahmadiyya magazine Islam for a long time . Sheikh Nasir Ahmad prepared the project for the construction of the first mosque in Switzerland. The Mahmud Mosque opened in 1963.

Journal of Islam

In October 1949, Sheikh Nasir Ahmad launched the magazine Der Islam . The first number consisted of three hectographed leaves. From October 1955, Islam was printed. The founder of this magazine was responsible for its editing until June 1962. Subsequently, the Ahmadiyya community in Germany took over responsibility for the editorial and printing of this magazine. At the beginning of 1982, the founder took over the editorial office again and managed it until his death in 2000. This magazine has not been published since then.
