Sheila Cargador team
Sheila Cargador Team was a series of booklet novels that initially ran as a sub-series within the silver horror thriller published by Zauberkreis Verlag and was later reprinted and continued as a book.
The series
Sheila Cargador runs a detective agency based in London's posh Park Lane - the Sheila Cargador Team. She is the daughter of a Spanish grandee and an Englishwoman. Because of her fad of taking off the unloved shoes and stumps herself on inappropriate occasions and appearing barefoot, but otherwise dressed in fashion, she has been nicknamed barefoot lady among friends .
She reports to 15 agents, including the former karate world champion Sandra Collins, the sabotage expert Maureen O'Haviland and the pilot Olivia Metaxa. The detective agency operates worldwide, partly on behalf of governments. In their operations center there is a large mural that hides a digital map of the world. On this she can switch to any place on earth - there are maps of every area, including all worldwide city maps.
The whereabouts of all agents can also be seen there. This is possible because each agent wears a tear-resistant anklet made of titanium. These include a transmission system which is in contact with a satellite. The electronics in the anklets also recognize and transmit the current body temperature and the adrenaline output. The satellite is shared with PSA - which creates the link to the Larry Brent series .
Edition history
The series started in 1985 with volume 450 of the Silber-Schusel-Krimi and ended with the discontinuation of the series in 1986.
From 2006 the series appeared under the series title Sheila Cargador as a new edition by Atlantis Verlag . Only one book was published before the series was passed on to the Romantruhe publishing house .
Several new books were published there between 2006 and 2008 under the series title Sheila Cargador - On behalf of my government .
