Shi Hwa Mong - A triplet rarely comes alone ( Hangeul : 시화 몽 Shi Hwa Mong , translated “beginning of a flower dream”) is a Manhwa series by Lee Jong-eun (이종은). It is aimed primarily at young girls, so it can be assigned to the Sunjeong genus.

action

The triplets Shi, Hwa and Mong You grew up in different countries with friends of their father, who separated the children after the death of their mother. He couldn't take care of his daughters because he wanted to work and earn as much as possible to enable them to have a good life.

Shi lived in America and after graduating from high school three years early and turning down numerous college offers, she decides to return to South Korea. Mong, who loves sweet things, returns to her homeland at the same time. In Japan she had a boyfriend, Ritsuki, whose family did not approve of the relationship. In their parents' house, Shi and Mong, who have already met at the airport, meet Hwa, who is the only one of the triplets to stay in Korea. The three sisters live together from now on. Hwa, who, unlike Shi, is quiet and has no friends, meets the popular Robin in high school and reluctantly gets involved in a relationship with him. Ritsuki, who worked as a young yakuza in Japan , follows Mong to Korea and gets a job as a model there.

While Shi and Mong have an idealized picture of their father, Hwa hates him for taking their sisters away and never bothering them. She doesn't understand why he left her alone when her grandmother died. It turns out that the man who has taken care of Hwa over the years and posed as her uncle is actually the father of the triplets.

reception

In 2005, AnimaniA praised the drawing style in particular. Lee Jong-eun may have problems with feet and spatial depths, but her representations are an excellent way of expressing the feelings of the protagonists. The plot is funny and the narrative is varied.
