The Shizen Kagaku Kenkyū Kikō ( Japanese 自然科学 研究 機構 , "National Institutes of Natural Sciences ", English National Institutes of Natural Sciences , short: NINS ), is a Japanese corporation under public law, which was formed in April 2004 and has its headquarters in district Minato in Tokyo has. Five state research institutions belong to the organization. It is part of the Inter-University Research Institute Corporation , an umbrella organization for collaboration and interdisciplinary research between universities and research institutions. The NINS brings together five scientific and state institutions for the purpose of interdisciplinary research.
