Shoninki script

The Shōninki ( Japanese正 忍 記) is a medieval script of the ninja from the Kishū province. The work was written by Fujibayashi Masatake (藤 林正武) (also Fujinoissuishi Masatake (藤 一 水 子 正 武), Sanjūrō Masatake (三十 郎 正 武) or Natori Sanjūrō Masazumi (名 取 三十 郎 正 澄)) in 1681. The Shōninki describes the espionage strategies of the Shinobi from Kishū. Together with the Bansenshūkai and the Ninpiden , it is one of the three surviving ninja scriptures. An original copy of the Shōninki is in the Tokyo State Library .

The first scroll addresses basic espionage skills, such as B. dressing up, hiding, intruding into strange houses, night acting, gathering information or the cooperation of different Shinobi. The second role deals with one's own protection, the defense against enemy spies, knowledge of human nature and physiognomy , the recognition and elicitation of the true intentions of people and the laying of false traces and clues . The last scroll deals with one's own states of mind as well as those of other people.
