The Shoreline Amphitheater is an amphitheater in Mountain View , California .
History and use
The event site was developed between 1985 and 1986 by the City of Mountain View in cooperation with Bill Graham as part of the Shoreline Park project. While Live Nation Entertainment operates the site, it has been owned by the city since 1985.
The amphitheater is used for concerts and can accommodate up to 30,000 visitors including the parking lot and the entire site.
In addition to numerous music festivals such as All That! Music and More Festival, Anger Management Tour, Area Festival, BeachFest, Bridge School Benefit, Country Throwdown Tour, Crüe Fest, Crüe Fest 2, Download Festival, Family Values Tour, FoolFest, Furthur Festival, Gathering of the Tribes Festival, HORDE Festival, Harmony By the Bay Festival, Honda Civic Tour, Identity Festival, I Love This City Festival, KITS Live 105's BFD, KOME X-Fest, Lilith Fair, Lollapalooza , Mayhem Festival, Ozzfest , Projekt Revolution, Rock the Bells Festival, Sprite Liquid Mix Tour, Uproar Festival and the Warped Tour also played internationally known musicians such as the Bee Gees , Eric Clapton and Prince at the Shoreline Amphitheater.
The amphitheater has hosted the annual Google developer conference Google I / O since 2006 .
