Shuanglin Temple

The Shuanglin Temple ( Chinese  双林寺 , Pinyin Shuānglín sì , English Shuanglin Temple ) is a Buddhist temple from the time of the Ming Dynasty in the village of Qiaotou in the Pingyao district of the Chinese province of Shanxi . It goes back to older origins.

The temple is famous for its painted clay sculptures.

The Shuanglin Temple ( Shuanglin si ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-120) since 1988 .
