Siberian colored pig
The Siberian colored pig ( Russian Сибирская черно-пестрая , transcribed Sibirskaja cherno-pestraja ) is a breed of pig from Russia .
Breeding history
The breed was built from the brightly colored animals that were weeded out during the breeding process of the white breed Northern Siberian pig .
Characteristics
- Black tabby color
- similar to the North Siberian pig breed
- better adaptability to cold and heat than this
- Full of ham
- Skin rough, without wrinkles on the head and legs
- The bristles are soft and dense with an undercoat
There are 4 boar lines and 4 sow families.
Occurrence
The Siberian colored boar is only kept in Novosibirsk Oblast . In 1980 the number was 2,300 purebred animals.
