The security advisor is an information service in German-speaking countries on issues of operational security. It appears every 14 days on the 1st and 15th of each month. The security advisor is an information service in which the focus is on the utility of the information, i. H. conveying specialist knowledge with practical relevance, information for safe operational management and news from the security industry.

The readers are predominantly security officers from all industries as well as the public administration in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the border area. As a classic circular with up to eight readers, the security advisor reaches a readership in all areas of operational security with its print and online edition. The security advisor also includes the “Sicherheits-advisor direct” newsletter, which has been published once a month since 2013.

history

The first issue appeared at the first SECURITY trade fair in October 1974. Since then, the paper has been published twice a month without interruption. In 1999, Rainer von zur Mühlen and Peter Stürmann bought the security advisor from Handelsblatt-Verlag, founded TeMedia Verlags GmbH and have since been publishing the information service and a number of specialist books on security in-house. TeMedia Verlags GmbH and the security advisor have been part of the VON ZUR MÜHLEN Group since then, which also includes VON ZUR MÜHLEN'SCHE GmbH and SIMEDIA Akademie GmbH.
