Siegfried Axtmann

Siegfried Axtmann (born April 19, 1959 in Maxhütte-Haidhof ) is a German entrepreneur and former president of VfB Leipzig . He is married to Ingeborg Axtmann and has two children.

From July 1991, the civil engineer from Nuremberg was the shirt sponsor of the soccer club VfB Leipzig, which was playing in the second division at the time and whose shirts bore the logo of his real estate company Axtmann Baubetreuungs AG . After the fall of the Wall, his group of companies was one of the largest apartment owners in Leipzig. Axtmann was president of the club from 1991 to 1995 and led it to the Bundesliga with promotion in the 1993/94 season. Axtmann has headed the Hungarian Honorary Consulate in Nuremberg since 2014. He is the managing director and, together with his children, a partner in Axtmann Holding, based in Berlin, under whose roof various real estate companies and companies in general aviation, such as FAI , an airline specializing in flight logistics, of which Axtmann is chairman of the board, are brought together.
