Sigurd Remy (born March 22, 1939 in Neuwied ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Remy completed an apprenticeship as a heating engineer and became department head in 1968. At Winkler + Dünnebier he was a works council until his retirement.

Remy joined the SPD in 1964. In 1981 he became a member of the city ​​council of Neuwied , where he was elected chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in 1989. From 1991 to 2006 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . There he represented constituency 4 (Neuwied).

Honor

The state of Rhineland-Palatinate honored him in 2010 with the award of the Freiherr vom Stein plaque .
