The Silver Museum Sterckshof in Sterckshof Castle in Deurne , a municipality in Antwerp ( Belgium ) was a museum for silversmithing until 2014 .

The silver collection, which dates back to the 16th century, was organized according to topics such as technology, brands, style and purpose of the objects and integrated into the appropriate context.

As a nationally recognized museum in Belgium, the museum distinguished itself as a research and promotion center for the silversmith's art. With thematic or historical exhibitions and publications, it filled gaps in the history of Belgian silversmithing. The museum played an active role in current silver production. It stimulated the creativity and productivity of silver designers and silversmiths through exhibitions, purchases and workshops .

In the museum library it had a special collection focusing on Belgian silversmithing . It also offered an extensive collection of applied arts, descriptions of art objects, information about artists, conservation and restoration, techniques and specific topics.

In 2007, the Sterckshof Silver Museum was the first museum to receive the De Vuurslag , an art history award from Art & Antiques Fair 's-Hertogenbosch .
