Silverwood was a German country band .
The band went in 1998 from the band Southern Pacific Line forth amplified by three other musicians.
Original line-up: Miruna Costa (vocals, acoustic guitar, songwriter) Tiberius "Tix" Kovacs (bass guitar, vocals, songwriter) Ernest Ray Everett (keyboards, vocals, songwriter) Nick DuBois (electric guitar) Roland Depner (drums) Winfried Wohlbold (Pedal Steel Guitar, Dobro)
Their first single, Already in Love, found recognition in the trade press and they were named Newcomer of the Year by the German American Country Music Federation .
In the following year, their debut album Drive conquered number 1 in the country charts in "Trucker Magazine", and the band was nominated as Band of the Year by the GACMF this year and the following year .
At the end of 1999 Heiko Ahrend (acoustic guitar, fiddle, banjo, songwriter) joined the band as the 7th member.
From 2002, Europe-wide successes followed. The album "Live" was recorded and was named the best live album of the year by the music magazine "Trucker". However, some members leave the band: the songwriter and singer Ernest Ray Everett, Roland Depner, Winfried Wohlbold and so they ventured into new musical ways.

Later Stefan Franz (drums) and Christian Teufel (keyboards) occupy the respective positions in the band. After emigrating to the USA, Nick DuBois is replaced by André Langer (electric guitar).
In 2004 the album My Side of Town was released . In the same year the band was awarded the German Rock & Pop Prize . In addition, the band was awarded various prizes by the GACMF: Newcomer Band, Band of the Year .... Highlights of the live performance included appearances at the "Nürburgring Truck Race", various TV appearances on MDR, SWR, WDR in various shows and Music broadcasts.
Andre Langer and Stefan Franz left the band in mid-2007.
This is followed by shows in collaboration with artists such as Helt Oncale (fiddle, guitar, vocals)
In 2012 the band Silverwood will perform for the last time at the Nürburgring.
