sinecure
Sinekure (shortened from Latin sine cura animarum "without care for the souls", that is, without any obligation to pastoral care ) describes an office with which income but no official duties are connected. Originally found in the purely ecclesiastical area ( church office , benefice ), the term was later transferred to the state area, for example in relation to official positions for deserving officers .
In business and associations , the term breakfast director is sometimes used ironically in this context .
