Georges Marchal

Georges Marchal (born January 10, 1920 in Nancy , France , † November 28, 1997 in Maurens , France) was a French actor .

Georges Marchal became known in addition to roles in coat and epee films (including 1953 as D'Artagnan in André Hunebelle's The Three Musketeers ), as a muscular hero in sandal epics ( The Colossus of Rhodes , The Legions of Caesar ) and as a lover in romantic dramas ( Last Love ) through his collaboration with Luis Buñuel . Under his direction, Georges Marchal played, among others, in Plague of the Jungle , Dawn , Belle de Jour - Beauty of the Day and The Milky Way . He is also known to German television audiences from the series Die Insel der 30 Tode .

Georges Marchal was married to the actress Dany Robin .
