Dany Robin
Dany Robin (born April 14, 1927 in Clamart , Hauts-de-Seine , † May 25, 1995 in Paris ) was a French actress .
Life
After completing classical dance training, Robin worked as a stage actress and opera dancer before making her feature film debut in the French film Lunegard in 1944 . In the 1950s she became a popular French star through films like Frou Frou , La fête à Henriette and Julietta . In 1969 she finally achieved her international breakthrough with a role in Alfred Hitchcock's thriller Topas . It was her last film.
In addition, she played alongside Heinz Rühmann in a stopover in Paris , alongside Peter Sellers in Waltz of the Toreadors and the British comedy Ist ja crazy - Just don't lose your head . Robin, who starred in 74 films, had her last public appearance in 1994 at the Anjou Theater Festival .
Robin was first married to actor Georges Marchal and second married to producer Michael Sullivan .
In the early morning of May 25, 1995, Robin and Sullivan were found lifeless in their apartment after a fire. Despite successful resuscitation measures, Robin succumbed to her severe burns in a Paris hospital that same day.
