Singapore Democratic Alliance

The Singapore Democratic Alliance (abbreviated: SDA ; chin .: 新加坡 民主 联盟) is an opposition party alliance in Singapore . It was founded shortly before the parliamentary elections in 2001 to form a bundled opposition to the People's Action Party (Singapore) (PAP). The alliance was led by the Singapore People's Party under Chiam See Tong . The alliance consisted of the following parties:

In 2007 the NSP broke away from the alliance. In February 2011 Chiam was voted out of office as chairman, whereupon he announced that the SPP would also split off.
