The Sinopharm Group is a Chinese pharmaceutical company. The Sinopharm Group's parent company was Sinopharm Industrial Investment, a 51-49 joint venture between the state-owned China National Pharmaceutical Group and the privately owned Fosun Pharmaceutical .
The Sinopharm Group researches, develops, produces, sells and markets drugs and other health products. Sinopharm Group manages factories, research laboratories, traditional Chinese medicine plantations, and marketing and sales networks that span across China.
It has been listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since 2009 . The initial public offering was HK $ 16 per share. The Sinopharm Group's subsidiary, Sinopharm CNMC , and Sinopharm Accord acted as the counterpart of the A share. The Sinopharm Group's A share itself, however, was not listed.
In 2017, the Sinopharm Group was ranked 194 among the 500 companies with the highest turnover worldwide.
