Sinti Swing Berlin

Sinti-Swing-Berlin (also Sinti-Swing-Quintett) is a German musician group.

Sinti-Swing-Berlin was founded in East Berlin in 1984. The group makes music in the style of European jazz and Sinti music in the style of Django Reinhardt . The instrumentation consists of three guitars, bass and violin. In addition to live concerts, the band became known through several television appearances on television in the GDR (AHA, Sprungbrett ) and ORB .

Members

The group was founded by the brothers Fredi Ansin, Wilfried Ansin and Alfred Ansin and Hans Lauenberger, who belong to the German Sinti minority . They have been accompanied by Bernd Huber since the company was founded. After Alfred Ansin's death, the line-up was changed and Hans Lauenberger's son, Janko Lauenberger , has played in the group ever since .
