Janko Lauenberger
Janko Lauenberger (also "Django" Lauenberger) (* 1976 in Berlin ) is a German musician (Sinti Swing and Radio Django).
As the son of two Sinti , he grew up in the East Berlin district of Lichtenberg . Since his youth he has played the guitar in various musical groups and bands. In 2008 the MDR produced a documentary about the life of Janko Lauenberger under the title Djangos Lied . He plays in the group Sinti Swing Berlin , which his father Hans Lauenberger helped to found.
Lauenberger is a relative of Erna "Unku" Lauenburger from the youth novel Ede and Unku . In 2018 his book Ede und Unku - the true story was published by the Gütersloh publishing house .
