Sine output

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The sinusoidal power is the power that an amplifier (in particular an audio amplifier) or a transmitter with a sinusoidal signal can continuously output into a defined load impedance at a defined frequency .

Only small non-linear distortions or harmonics may arise in the amplifier. The (smallest) signs of limitation or the 40 dB (1%) limit for harmonic distortion are selected as the limit. The criterion should be specified.

The sine output is used in connection with the so-called music output to specify the nominal output of audio amplifiers.
