Workers and Peasants Defense Council
The Council for Workers 'and Peasants' Defense called an extraordinary organ of the Soviet state , which by decision of the Central Executive Committee of the All-Russian of the RSFSR on thirtieth November 1918 was formed.
The council was chaired by VI Lenin . The council was given full powers to mobilize the country's forces and resources for defense. This included the following tasks:
- Coordination of the activities of the military authorities
- Supervision of the Extraordinary Commission for the Defense of the Red Army
- Supervision of the various departments for transport, food supply, communications, etc. a.
In April 1920 the council was reorganized into the Council for Labor and Defense .
