Siri Sands
Siri Sande (born September 27, 1943 ) is a Norwegian classical archaeologist .
Siri Sande, daughter of the writer Jakob Sande , studied at the University of Oslo with Hans Peter L'Orange . In 1975 she started teaching there. From 1983 to 1990 she was an assistant at the Norwegian Institute in Rome , of which she was director from 2003 to 2007. From 1996 until her retirement in 2010 she was Professor of Classical Archeology at the University of Oslo.
Her main area of research is Roman art and architecture.
