Sirius Systems Technology

Sirius Systems Technology was a Scotts Valley , California-based company that developed the Victor / Sirius office PC in the early 1980s as a competitor to IBM . The company was founded by Chuck Peddle and Chris Fish , who both previously worked at MOS Technology .

In 1982 Sirius bought Victor Business Systems , known at the time for producing pocket calculators and cash register systems , and the name of the joint venture was changed to Victor Technology .

In 1984 the company filed for bankruptcy, but was able to be restructured.
