Sistema Mass Media ( SMM ; Russian Система Масс-медиа ) comprises the media holdings of the Russian Sistema group from Moscow .

Pay TV

In 2003 a share of 50 percent was taken over by Kosmos TV . The remaining 50 percent is held by the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network. Kosmos TV was founded in 1991 as the first pay TV broadcaster in Moscow. At the end of September 2004 Kosmos TV already had over 38,000 customers. Kosmos TV broadcasts 70 TV channels in 12 languages. Satellite television is also available.

Maxima Communication Group (Russian Максима) is an advertising agency in Moscow. Maxima CG has existed since 1992. Oksana Rebrik is the boss.

Press products

The press section includes the Russian newspapers Rossija , Metro , Smena and the oldest Russian literary magazine Literaturnaja Gazeta , as well as the Rosbalt news agency . This controls over 17 percent of the newspaper market in Moscow. Rosbalt received worldwide attention due to the threatened closure of the news site by the Russian censorship authority Roskomnadzor . This was justified with an "obscene" choice of words. An objection can still be lodged against this decision.
