Sit and Go

Under sit and go (even sit 'n' go or SNG ) is defined as a Tournament at poker and similar games. The special thing about it is that the time of the start is not fixed at a time, as in tournaments with many players (where often thousands of players play), but that the tournament starts when there are enough players at a table, which is especially true for Online poker often only lasts a very short time.

Most sit and gos are played at a single table, almost always with nine or ten other players. But there are also tournaments with several tables, usually a maximum of five tables with a total of 45 players (nine per table).

If a player loses an all in , i.e. runs out of chips , he has to leave the table. There are no re-buys as in the early stages of many major tournaments.

Depending on the provider, the fees in the lower classes are 10 to 20% of the deposit (less for larger amounts), the rest is paid out, at individual tables usually 50% for the winner, 30% for the second, 20% for the Third, so that a bubble is created as in major tournaments and tactically played with four to five players remaining.

In larger sit and gos with several tables, just like in regular tournaments with a fixed start time, the remaining players are grouped together on fewer and fewer tables until only one table is left ( final table ).
