Sixt Jakob von Kapff (theologian)

Sixt (us) Jakob Kapff , from 1834 von Kapff (born January 27, 1765 in Lorch , † July 6, 1848 in Esslingen am Neckar ), was a German Protestant theologian of the Württemberg regional church .

family

Sixt Jakob Kapff was the son of the Lorch pastor Johann Melchior Kapff (1727–1799) and Maria Majer, he had 3 siblings. In 1795 he married Louise Christina Pistorius (1774–1839), with her he had six children.

job

After graduating, he worked from 1785 to 1794 as a master's degree and repetitee. In 1794 he became a helper in Göppingen and in 1808 dean in Pfullingen . From 1817 to 1823 he was dean in Schorndorf . In 1823 he became prelate and general superintendent of Ludwigsburg . He held this office until his retirement in 1841.

politics

The general superintendents of the Evangelical Church were officially privileged members of the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament . Sixt Jakob von Kapff therefore joined the state parliament in 1823 after his appointment in Ludwigsburg and was a member of it until 1841.

Award

Sixt Jakob von Kapff was 1834 Knight's Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown granted that with the personal title of nobility ( ennoblement was connected).
