Skaia

Skaia ( ancient Greek Σκαία Skaía ) is in Greek mythology a daughter of Danaos , the king of Libya , and Europe , a daughter of Neilos . She is therefore one of the Danaids .

At the mass wedding of the 50 daughters of Danaos with the 50 sons of Aigyptus , at which lot decided on the pairing, her Daiphron was assigned as husband. Like most of her sisters, she killed her husband on their wedding night.

According to Pausanias , she was the wife of Archandros , a son of Achaios , the eponymous hero of the Achaeans . With him she had Metanastes as a son.
