The Skeiðarárbrú is a bridge in southeast Iceland and by far the longest bridge in the country. The Ringstrasse was not opened until it was completed in 1974.

It bridges the Skeiðará , a river where glacier runs repeatedly occur. During one such in 1996 this bridge was partially destroyed. Originally it was 904 meters long, but was restored shortened to 880 meters after the damage. The bridge was constructed as a single-lane steel girder bridge with nineteen pillars. Oncoming traffic can pass at five passing points. Your road surface is made of wood.

The Skeiðarárbrú was decommissioned on August 30, 2017. The largest masses of water from Skeiðarájökull now flow westward into the Gígjukvísl river . The bridge over this river had to be rebuilt after the glacier run in 1996. It is 336 meters long and was completed in 1998. Now a 68 meter long bridge has been built over the Morsá . It was fitted into a modified course of the ring road. It has not yet been decided what to do with the Skeiðarárbrú.
