Ski marathon cup

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Skimarathon Cup (officially called xc-ski.de Skimarathon Cup or German Skimarathon Championship ) is a German ski marathon series for amateur and professional athletes.

history

The xc-ski.de Skimarathon Cup was founded after the DSV cross-country skiing series was discontinued at the end of the 2012/13 season in order to continue to offer German and international cross-country skiers an attractive racing series in Germany. This racing series includes the three largest ski marathon events, the König-Ludwig-Lauf , Kammlauf and Skadi Loppet . The racing series was due to start in the 2013/14 season because two out of three races were canceled due to lack of snow, so the premiere season was postponed to the 2014/15 season. The 43rd International Kammlauf should take place on 24./25. January 2015, was due to lack of snow on the 7./8. March postponed. In the 2017 season, the 45th International Kammlauf on March 11 and 12, 2017, was canceled due to a lack of snow.

winner

Whoever is the best German in the overall ranking at the end of the season is the German Skimarathon Champion, foreign athletes can also become overall winners and the class winners are then only class winners of the xc-ski.de Skimarathon Cup. The first 300 athletes and the teams receive points for the overall ranking.
