Skintonic

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Skintonic was created in 1992 as an independent video production in response to the riots in Rostock-Lichtenhagen .

The semi-professional Skintonic or SkinUp determined the media appearance of the non-racist skinhead scene for many years

In the documentary, a SHARP skinhead (Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice) gives an interview about the various groups and the origins of the skinhead movement in England in the 1960s. While the 'intellectual' upper-class youth are turning more to the hippie movement, a countercurrent is developing in the working-class neighborhoods. Black Ska music forms the origin and leads the later right-wing radicalism ad absurdum.

The filmmakers Michael Bhatty & Frank Riehemann receive the award for the best newcomer film on the 8th Days of Independent Film . Michael Bhatty is also the lead game designer of the computer role-playing game Sacred (2004), the novels "Far Cry - Götterdämmerung" (2007) for the computer game Far Cry and "FarCry 2 - Bloody Diamonds" for the 2008 game Far Cry 2 , as well as the media science book " Interactive Story Telling ”(1999).

In addition, a legendary fan magazine of the non-racist skinhead scene was published under the name “Skintonic” in the 1990s , which was later continued under the name Skin Up .
