SHARP

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The SHARP movement logo is inspired by the British record label Trojan Records .

SHARP is an abbreviation and stands for S kin h eads A gainst R acial P rejudice ( skinheads against racist prejudice ) and denotes an anti-racist skinhead movement .

In the USA, a number of anti-racist skinhead organizations formed from 1986, from which SHARP first appeared in public in 1988. The group subsequently developed into a loose international association of skinheads with sections in Great Britain , Portugal , France , the USA and Germany .

SHARP is an amalgamation of skinhead groups with a wide variety of views. The common feature of the Sharpskins is that they do not want to be confused with right-wing extremist and neo-Nazi skinheads (they also call them boneheads ) and speak out against racism. In this way, the members of SHARP try to clearly differentiate themselves from racist skinhead groups.

The first German SHARP magazine was Skintonic , which had been published by the SHARP Section Germany in Berlin since 1989 . It later merged with the “Oi! Reka” to create the Skin Up -Fanzine and stopped publishing at the end of the 1990s.
