The slave office has approximately 220,000 registered members, the largest German BDSM - online community .

history

The slave center was launched in September 2003 by the scene photographers Sir X and Magic Zyks (both registered artist names ). Sir X, software developer , and Magic Zyks, who worked as creative director for a Düsseldorf advertising agency, started the project, according to their mission statement, initially as a kind of "registration office" and partner exchange for submissives . Today both work as programmer, designer and consultant for the community.

“The basic idea was to publicly 'register' the submissive partner (in our terminology 'slave or slave') with an unmistakable registration number to make one's SM or D / s relationship publicly visible to others and to oneself to manifest. "

After a short time, the platform was very popular; the concept was expanded, and picture galleries and text forums as well as an online magazine were added. The slave center developed from a registry to a large BDSM community and social network .

Members

Around 220,000 members are currently registered in the slave headquarters as subs , tops or switchers . About 47,000 members have the so-called "real sign", i. H. other users have confirmed that they know the member personally. (As of: 1/2017)

Every registered member is provided with a basic profile free of charge, which can be provided with pictures, free text and personal information as well as inclinations and sexual preferences. A diary can be kept as well as an overview of the planned event visits and networking with other members.

Functions and protection of minors

In addition to profiles, public discussion forums, picture galleries and the online magazine, the slave center has several chat rooms, an extensive calendar of appointments and events, and a small and personals module. There are also closed user groups with and without BDSM-related, of which 586 are so-called circles, 332 groups and 596 regulars, each with their own, non-public forums and a chat room as well as their own picture and photo galleries. Some of these areas are also open to non-registered users, some of them require free registration and the real symbol. The purchase of a paid premium account allows access to additional features.

All areas that can be seen by everyone are suitable for minors in accordance with Dutch and German law; Areas with adult content are only accessible after an age check by various approved age verification systems or via an F2F system via trading partners (shops, party locations, etc.). The site was indexed in October 2011 by the Federal Inspectorate for Media Harmful to Young Persons and was removed from the list in April 2019.
