Skolebrød
Skolebrød ( German : school bread), also Skoleboller , is a Norwegian pastry . It consists of a flat yeast dough cake filled with vanilla cream or pudding. After baking, this is coated with a sugar glaze and sprinkled with desiccated coconut . The pastry popular in Norway dates back to the 1950s, when students were looking for a simple pastry that could be eaten by hand.
