The Sky Road is a 15-kilometer road in the northwest of Ireland in the region Connemara . It runs from the small town of Clifden along the bays of Clifden Bay, Kingstown Bay and Streamtown Bay on the Atlantic coast. It ends at National Road 59 northwest of Clifden, so it can be used as a circular route .

The name Sky Road comes from the impressive views of the rocky and rugged coastline and the surrounding landscape, and also from the sometimes enormous gradients of the road, which supposedly appear to the driver as if he is driving into the sky.

The Sky Road is part of the Wild Atlantic Way , one of the longest designated coastal roads in the world. There is heavy tourist traffic on Sky Road in the summer months.
